Hi, I’m Bianca — the creator behind  Knotty Girl Made It.

Crochet became a huge part of my life after I was diagnosed with lupus and spent months on bed rest recovering from multiple surgeries. What started as a creative outlet during one of the hardest times in my life slowly turned into a passion, and eventually, a business I never could have imagined.

Over the years, my work has been recognized with multiple “Best in Show” awards at the Dutchess County Fair, along with several first-place ribbons at the New York State Fair. Creating has always been a huge part of who I am, and I feel incredibly grateful that I now get to share that creativity with all of you.

My very first porch goose actually belonged to my Nana. After she passed away, that goose sadly broke, but in 2023 I decided to gift my mom a new one. Since she loves all things cowboy, I thought it would be fun to crochet a little cowboy outfit for her goose. I had absolutely no idea that one silly idea would turn into the business you see today.

When I’m not crocheting or designing new patterns, I’m usually making music. I grew up playing instruments and definitely took after my dad in that way. I now lead my own band and perform at local bars and restaurants most weekends — and yes, my dad is my bass player.

I’m also a wife to an incredibly supportive husband (I honestly can’t tell you how many porch geese he has bought me over the years!) and a soon-to-be mom, welcoming our baby girl in September 2026.

Our home wouldn’t be complete without our pets, either. Maxie, our spoiled 12-year-old pup, runs the house, while our cat Digit makes it his personal mission to destroy every yarn stash I own.

Some of my favorite moments are spent cooking with my mom on Sundays after church. If I’m not making a huge Sunday dinner, chances are I am baking a million cookies!

Most of all, I am so incredibly grateful for the support this community has shown me. What started as one handmade cowboy outfit has grown into something bigger than I ever imagined, and I can’t wait to keep creating, designing, and sharing this journey with all of you.
